Create a decorative mermaid-themed mirror with a hands-on mosaic craft activity. This DIY kit gives children a finished object they can actually display or use after the crafting is done, making the activity feel more rewarding than a one-off worksheet or colouring page.
Why it is a good creative project
Encourages careful placement, pattern making and colour choices
Supports fine-motor control and hand-eye coordination
Creates a personalised room accessory children can keep
Offers a screen-free project with a clear beginning and finished result
The mermaid theme makes it especially appealing for children who enjoy fantasy, under-the-sea designs and decorative crafts.
Suggested age: approximately 6–10 years. Younger children may enjoy adult help with arranging and finishing the design.
Available from Kids Library Kenya with delivery across Kenya.
